You can continue to use Shindig.  The source code and binaries will still
be available to you.  The only difference is now there will no longer be
any active development from the Apache community.

Several members of the community have expressed interest in taking Shindig
and continuing work on portions of the source code outside of Apache.
There is a slack channel dedicated to that effort located at
opendashboards.slack.com.  You probably want to reach out to Chris
Spiliotopoulos (chrysanthos.spiliotopou...@gmail.com) to get invited.
