As far as I'm concerned, there are no 'dumb questions' on this list by anyone and I would hope that everyone feels comfortable asking questions without fear of sarcasm. In my last 10 years of corporate consulting (many companies of which were Fortune 100), I haven't come across that even once (outside of the other thread), so it doesn't appear to be a 'standard' widely used outside of U.S. federal government agencies (this is my own experience since I haven't had much interaction w/ federal agencies. YMMV of course). There were similar things, but everyone had their own process and terminology. It's nice to see that it exists though. > Yeah, that is odd.
