Les Hazlewood commented on SHIRO-263:
-------------------------------------
I actually think this page is the right level of detail. You already know
fully what Apache Shiro is based on the home page - we clearly explain we're a
security framework, and we show the major parts of the framework right away
(Authentication, Authorization, Cryptography, Session Management, Web Support),
with 'features' pages linked to each.
After seeing all of that, you can go to the 'about' page to find out more
in-depth about the project - what we believe, how it came about, its history,
etc.
People only go to 'about' pages when they want more detail than what is
provided by skimming the home page. At that point, they're actually looking
for something to read and not to just skim IMO.
