Hi dev community, I have a few days available this week to really push through some issues and hopefully get the 1.2 release out - maybe even get a vote started by this weekend (hopefully). This would be nice since our board report is due next week and it'd be nice to mention a new release if possible.
We've wanted a few things to go into 1.2 for a while now (e.g. fully tested OpenID), etc, but my opinion now is that we should just get the release out as soon as possible and stop delaying. There are more than a few folks using the 1.2-SNAPSHOTs and I believe that to be an indicator that we just need to cut it and put whatever is leftover into 1.3. As far as I can tell, here are the current outstanding issues for 1.2: https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&jqlQuery=project+%3D+SHIRO+AND+fixVersion+%3D+%221.2.0%22+AND+status+%3D+Open+ORDER+BY+priority+DESC&mode=hide Is there anything anyone feels strongly that MUST make it in to 1.2? Otherwise my desire is to push out whatever I can't finish by Friday just so we can get it out. -- Les Hazlewood CTO, Katasoft | http://www.katasoft.com | 888.391.5282 twitter: @lhazlewood | http://twitter.com/lhazlewood katasoft blog: http://www.katasoft.com/blogs/lhazlewood personal blog: http://leshazlewood.com
