Les Hazlewood commented on SHIRO-499:
-------------------------------------

[~rkorn] This is an oversight, and is NOT intentional (Shame? A bit harsh due
to a simple mistake, no?). A community member was working on Kerberos
integration, updated that page to indicate as such, and it never was
implemented, much like [~gsingers]'s experience.

The page is editable in SVN: https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/shiro/site/trunk/

If you provide a patch, we'll be happy to apply it. We all have lives outside
of ASF projects, so there are things like this that can happen from time to
time due to busy lives else where. We rely on the community to help improve
the project rather than just complain about it. Rather than criticizing us
without knowing the details, a simple request is to please try to ascertain why
something occurs before placing judgement, and also contribute changes to make
things better. Thank you for the report!

> I'm working on adding a Kerberos Realm to Shiro. My approach is to port over
> the Kerberos support that is in Hadoop and make it work in Shiro.
> Should have a patch this week, I hope, although I am new to Shiro.
