More to the point: The issue with Remember Me probably could have been fixed in
that area (Constructor to AbstractRememberMeManager) instead of a change to
AesCipherService which could impact who knows what.
If this was indeed the best place to make the change, it could have been better
communicated in the release announcement that the change was much more broad
than the Remember Me functionality.
Edit: I see now the announcement on the website is more direct about the change
being made. I had only seen the email announcement with mention of remember me.
