I haven't been able to work on SIS in the last 10 days because of an
other work, but I hope to be back on SIS next week. The review for ISO
19115:2014 changes was almost done. Hopefully, the work will be merged
to trunk by the end of next week.
There is an OGC meeting soon, with a Metadata Discussion Working Group
(DWG) scheduled on September 15. I will not go to this meeting. Is
anyone else going? We could give some feedbacks about ISO 19115:2014
based on Apache SIS upgrade process. For example:
* 'CI_Citation.collectiveTitle' defined in ISO 19115:2003: I saw no
equivalent in ISO 19115:2014. Did I missed something?
* 'MD_Format.name', 'version' and 'specification' defined in 2003 are
replaced by 'formatSpecificationCitation' in 2014, but the mapping
from the former to the later is not completely clear to me. Sometime
a mapping is defined in annex G of ISO 19115:2014, but I didn't
found such information for 'MD_Format'.
There is a few other issues/questions, I will try to elaborate before
the OGC meeting. But I think we have an opportunity to talk about Apache
SIS experience, if we have volunteer(s) going to that OGC meeting. Anyone?
