Hello Marc I committed the fix on the JDK8 branch. Thanks again for the bug report and the fix (your proposal sound good). I committed the test in FeatureTestCase.testGetProperty() in a modified form (without dependency to the shapefile) and added your name to the author list. Please let me know if there is any issue.
