In this discussion, we have 1. (+1) from our Mentors(Willem, Mick, Ignasi), all PPMCs(Sheng Wu, Xin Zhang, Haoyang Liu, Yongsheng Peng, Hongtao Gao) and some committers. 2. Many people(48 participants) from community show up in GitHub discussion[1], all of them support us heading to graduation to TLP.
Also, we have decided 1. Sheng Wu as the first VP of project 2. Set VP Chair rotation mechanism of the project for all PMCs. I have talked with our Champion and Mentors. Our Champion Mick will forward the discussion to [email protected]. Let's hope we could graduate as an Apache TLP next month. And last(but not important :P), you all known I love number game, as far as I known, SkyWalking will be the 200th TLP in Apache(if we passed the discussion/vote and Apache board evaluations). ------------------ Sheng Wu Apache SkyWalking ------------------ Original ------------------ From: "???? Peng Could you consider to write a document about VP rotation and proposing for next year VP? I like to discuss that and make it official and public in our community. Chair rotation is a good thing and helps people understand better how the ASF works. You could suggest one year terms or so when writing the project bylaws to make that official, if the rest of the PMC agrees. On Oct 27, 2018 05:27, "?????? I suggest that all the SkyWalking's PMCs take turns to be the person who communicate to apache that can help every PMCs to know the way apache works better. ??????????????????
