Subject: Re: New skywalking report draft for board

Hi

The report just updated. Change this section.

Any issues that the Incubator PMC (IPMC) or ASF Board wish/need to be
aware of?

Have six Apache releases already. 5.0.0-alpha, 5.0.0-beta, 5.0.0-beta2,
5.0.0-RC2, 5.0.0-GA, 6.0.0-alpha

Started the `Graduate Apache SkyWalking (incubating) as a TLP` discussion in
IPMC. IPMC addressed a main issue before graduation, need to promote more
committers by given the number of contributors.
SkyWalking community has recognised, and voted/passed two new committers,
another new committer is under discussion in private ml.

Hi justin

I will add the graduation thread in the report. Thanks for remind.
For the new committer, I think the community already recognized the committer
issue. Two new committers have been already voted and added after that. Another
new committer is in discussion at private ml in these days.

Hi,

Thank for submitting the report early.

Under "Any issues that the Incubator PMC (IPMC) or ASF Board wish/need to be
aware of?" you list some releases. Is there some concern about the releases
that the IPMC/board needs to know about?

I'm surprised that the recent graduation thread(s) were not mentioned in the
report. One of the main issues that need to be addressed in moving towards
graduation is (IMO) recognising and adding new committers and PPMC members. For
instance the reports mentions 100 commits by more than 22 contributors in the
three months, why are these contributors not committers?

The question "Have your mentors been helpful and responsive..." has not been
answered, if you could answer it that would be helpful.

Thanks,
Justin
