v2 is supported in Java agent and OAP backend today. v1 is supported too, but don't maintain and don't accept new PR to enhance it. According to the document, it will be removed by the end of this year, pretty close. In v2, we don't have HTTP protocol yet(v1 had), if you want to contribute, we could work together to make it happens in the upstream.
