Dear Skywalking Dev team, I'm from Siemens MindSphere team and we are trying to leverage Skywalking as APM for MindSphere platform. We had tried to deploy Skywalking Java Agent & OAP server since 6.4.0. However Skywalking was released in fast step in last several months from 6.4.0 to 6.5.0 and 6.6.0 (and coming soon 7.x).
Upgrading Skywalking from 6.4.0 to 6.6.0 involves both server side & Java agents side. Upgrading Skywalking server side (OAP & UI) to latest 6.6.0 is easy. However the previous deployed Java agent sstill working in old 6.4.0.I'm wondering whether old Java agents 6.4.0 is compatible with 6.6.0 OAP server. Otherwise I must update Java agents to the same 6.6.0 version to avoid potential incompatible issue? As you know Java agents update need reboot the Java service with new 6.6.0 agent. There are a lot of Java services need reboot therefore it's not a good idea to be done in productive environment.
