I changed the hbase version in the pom file in the root.
It shows BUILD SUCCESS after running " mvn install:install-file
-Dfile=/users/staff/hustnn/hbase/hbase-0.98.5-hadoop2-bin.tar.gz
-DgroupId=org.apache.hbase -DartifactId=hbase -Dversion=0.98.5-hadoop2
-Dclassifier=bin -Dpackaging=tar.gz"
Then I followed the the README in app-package/hbase and executed "mvn clean
package -DskipTests -Phbase-app-package".
It BUILDs successfully but says the app-hbase-package is not activated,
and I don't find any package in
"app-packages/hbase/target/apache-slider-hbase-${hbase.version}-app-package-${slider.version}.zip"
