Steve Loughran commented on SLIDER-447:
---------------------------------------
this looks like a bug in {{SliderClient.verifyBindingsDefined()}} -it does some
sanity checks there and needs to be changed to see if the HA properties are set
-and if so, not worry about the simple property.
If you make the validation static on a {{Configuration}} object it'd be easy to
write a couple of unit tests to check this
> Post enablement of RM HA, Slider client still needs
> yarn.resourcemanager.address

> After enabling Resource Manager HA, Slider still needs a value to be set for
> the property {{yarn.resourcemanager.address}} in slider-client.xml.
> Removing it throws the below exception:

> 2014-09-18 00:19:25,760 [main] ERROR main.ServiceLauncher - No valid Resource

> Letting the property be set to its pre-HA value
> {{c6402.ambari.apache.org:8050}} made it happy, although no one was listening
> on port 8050.
