2.7.0 is really beta-release code: it has issues that surfaced shortly after
the release, and isn't something anyone would really recommend using. It's not
going to ship in any of the commercial Hadoop derivatives,.
Staying with 2.6.0 for now gives people systems they can run slider on (ASF
Hadoop 2.6, HDP, now CDH, AWS).
