I agree. It would be good to not export too much non-API stuff. On another account (with the user and access manager bundles): Those register a number of components which are configurable. We should probably either define some metatype.properties file to have a bit more descriptive text on the configuration page of the web console or set the metatype attribute of the scr.component tag to "false" to not generate metatype desciptors.
