Move IT tests into core

Currently the IT tests are a separate module which - in addition - requires to
have the same version as the core in order to properly run the tests
As the it tests don't have any other dependency (e.g to a provider) we could
simply move them into the core module.
This ensures that always the latest version is correctly tested.
