for the record: [~kpauls] tried to find out when this class has been introduced
and why it is no longer needed. it seems it was introduced in the light of
SLING-8420 (though not with the official PR). for some reason it no longer was
used in {{ContentPackage2FeatureModelConverter}} later on, presumably related
to SLING-8529 (?). See also
