[~Sc0rpic0m], i agree with the proposal in general.... however, it is important 
to understand that jackrabbit filevault will actually install content _even_ if 
it is NOT covered by the filter.... so relying on the original filter 
definition will most likely cause major regressions..... see SLING-10760 and 
SLING-10754.
in other words: past bugs have shown that customers actually rely on those 
undocumented features (or bugs?) in filevault and solely relying on the 
original filter.xml to determined what content needs to be installed will not 
work.
