There is no reason to cancel the vote, since there were no -1 votes, and from your email I understand that you still plan to go through with the release. The right think is to do just what you did - raise the topic again, probably it slipped. We usually do this as a reply to the [VOTE] thread, since it's easier :-) but not because we have to.
