Closed the
[PR|https://github.com/apache/sling-org-apache-sling-event-api/pull/1] and
marking this ticket as won't fix. It hasn't gotten much traction and there
aren't immediate plans to follow-up on this. Should this change we can always
pick up the work again - the PR still points to the underlying work and will
thus stay there.
