in our current process to deprecate sling modules, we require all files to be removed from the master branch and keep only .asf.yaml, README and .gitignore: https://sling.apache.org/documentation/development/deprecating-sling-modules.html
in my point of view we should also keep the LICENSE file - it is also picked up by GitHub for the repository listing. looks strange to see apache projects without apache license assigned there (even if they are deprecated). WDYT? stefan
