To me it is not clear what issue we are trying to solve on Sling side with this
JIRA? Is this about getting rid of the ProxyRepository? There is no need for
additional annotations/javadoc to tackle that but probably we need to
understand why it has been overwritten in the first place. I cannot answer and
therefore also cannot judge if we can get rid of that impl.
