Thanks, Justin. The jcr.contentloader page is much more like what I was expecting. I found the link to content-loader.html via Google which is the top link when I searched for "sling initial content" through the jcr.contentloader link is 2nd. I also can't seem to find a link to get into the 'Advanced Topics' area that content-loader.html is listed in. Maybe some pages should be unpublished to clear the Google index?
