FYI: I also stumbled across a similar situation when I was trying to fix a
couple other issues a while back (see SLING-13231 and SLING-13232). The
discovery-* projects were unfamiliar to me when I started but I managed to hack
the code enough to get it to compile but there were still many test failures
that I didn't have time to debug yet. So if you haven't already created a
solution for this one, I could probably share the draft code I already started
on if that would be helpful.
