As a new JCA based implementation was added in SLING-13280 the unmaintained
jasypt one should be deprecated and in the mid term fully removed. Next to no
[longer being
maintained|https://github.com/jasypt/jasypt/blob/master/README.md] it also uses
by default algorithms and parameters which are no longer state of the art.
