Robert Munteanu commented on SLING-2973:
----------------------------------------
I've just committed a bunch of revisions which go forward with this.
Unfortunately ( using git-svn ) I failed to rebase early enough and I think I
might've lost some changes made by [~dklco] in the process . I'll make sure to
re-apply those in the process.
I've ended up with the following structure
* api : contains the interfaces and minimal shared utilities needed to
implement resource sync
* impl-resource : the resource-based implementation
* eclipse-core: Eclipse implementation, headless part
* eclipse-ui: Eclipse implementation, UI-bound part
My short-term plan is to
* review any changes which might've gotten lost and reapply them
* finish the work on the project preference for the directory to sync ;
currently it is hardcoded to 'jcr_root'
* add a minimal API and implementation for the filter services ; we need this
hook for Vault anyway and it's going to make development a bit easier until we
plugin in Vault as well
Any other changes will be tracked under different tasks.

> The current IDE tooling needs to be aligned to the structure defined at [1] .
> We should be careful to preserve existing behaviour, but regressions in the
> short run are acceptable since we will move to the WST framework, which is a
> different beast altogether.
