While investingating into SLING-3513 I noticed that we currently have a versioning problem of launchpad base wrt the framework version. When updating launchpad base through the OSGi installer (or the web console), the Sling code finally compares the version of the system bundle with the version of the to be installed launchpad base. For example, the framework version might be 4.2.0 and the new launchpad base version 2.5.2. Only if the launchpad base version is higher, it is installed - which right now clearly is not the case.
One way out of this would be to set the bundle version of the generated jar to the framework version - and maybe use the qualifier part to indicate the launchpad base version. Or we could change the version of the launchpad base module to reflect the used framework version. WDYT? Regards Carsten -- Carsten Ziegeler [email protected]
