Thanks for your input. It seems the Apache Felix Event Admin implementation
also has a property "org.apache.felix.eventadmin.IgnoreTimeout" which
essentially disable timeout for my app jobs. So, the reason must lie
somewhere else.
... But if you're dealing with Sling jobs you shouldn't use the
event admin way of starting/processing jobs anyway
Right. in this case the jobs were scheduled jobs registered through the
scheduler API.
