I've built the current version from Subversion (and run an IT similar to those others for Launchpad Karaf) and deployed it successfully to my Sling (on Karaf) instance. Maybe there is something wrong with your javax.servlet- bundle/package-export or the MANIFEST.MF of the o.a.s.urlrewriter is broken - can you check?
