[~cziegeler] - I was one of them in terms of upgrades/updates. Right now it is
impossible to detect the state of bundles and/or configuration before a change
to see if some postprocessing is required - this leads to some partially
expensive checks in the resourcetree to find out if conditions are met that
require some post processing.
