I think SLING-5665 is a clarification of the javadocs in the API.
Although the implementation previously was wrong as well, updating the
minor version for the package seems to be fine.
I don't understand why the package version has been changed from 2.1.1
to 2.3.0 for that change? This should be 2.2.0.

Releasing the whole API as 2.12.0 sounds good to me in that case.
