Carsten Ziegeler resolved SLING-741.
------------------------------------
    Resolution: Won't Fix

Closing this old issue as won't fix. I think at least for the Sling world the
OBR idea never took off. If this happens, we can reconsider these things

> Integrate OBR with JCR Install

> Key: SLING-741
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SLING-741
> Project: Sling
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Components: Installer
> Affects Versions: JCR Installer 3.0.0
> Reporter: Julian Sedding
> Priority: Minor
>
> During a discussion I had with Felix Meschberger today, the following idea
> was born.
> The aim of this proposal is to bridge the gap between bundles installed via
> OBR and bundles installed via JCR Install, thus making the benefits (e.g.
> backup, clustering) of JCR-installed bundles available to OBR.
> Instead of installing the bundle directly into the OSGi framework, OBR could
> copy them into an install folder of the JCR. The bundle would then be
> installed into the OSGi framework via JCR Install.
> Comments welcome.
