the ConfigurationManager interface that is part of the "management API"
dedicated for tooling support like configuration editors should support
providing information about inherited configuration data (resource collections,
properties) as well to able visualize this information.
this may be usable for a configuration editor and the web console (SLING-6115)
as well.
