Based on our discussion on the mailing list, I think the following assertion 
should also hold:

assertTrue(areResourceTypesEqual("/libs/foo/bar", "/apps/foo/bar", String[]{ 
"/libs", "/apps" }))

Other than that the patch looks fine.
