the conversion rules of the ValueMapDecorator should be unified with the
conversion rules of the JCR ValueMap implement (as long as they are not too JCR
specific).
the conversion rules we plan to support are outlined in

*please note:* it's not finally decided if we really put the conversion
implementation in the API bundle, but let's start to outline what we want to do
in this ticket and then decide where we want to do it.
