I've updated my pull request to bring the project more in line with the parent
pom. This includes...
* Adding the RAT plugin and proper excludes for bootstrap
* Updated several dependencies to newer versions (but still support Sling 8
release)
* Removed several dependencies I didn't end up using.
Let me know if you'd like to see any other changes.
