Thanks for your answer. AFAIK inheritance has just been fixed via
https://github.com/bndtools/bnd/issues/2265 which should be released with the
upcoming bnd-maven-plugin version. The only drawback of adding reasonable
default in the parent then would be potential lack of support for tools and
(more importantly) lack of a correct activator for the m-j-p to pick up the
bundle manifest.
