Robert Munteanu commented on SLING-7235:
----------------------------------------

[JEP 320: Remove the Java EE and CORBA
Modules|http://openjdk.java.net/jeps/320] is targeted for Java 11. According to
the [Oracle Java SE Support
Roadmap|http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/eol-135779.html] Java 11 (well,
18.3 in that page) is the first long-term support release. So in September 2018
there will be no supported Java version that will contain the {{java.se.ee}}
stuff ( either implicitly, as in Java 8 or explicitly as in Java 9 and 10 ).

> Remove requirement for --add-modules java.se.ee on java9

> For now we are running Sling on Java 9 by adding {{-add-modules java.se.ee}}
> to the CLI arguments. We should remove this and make running Sling easier.
