Eric Norman commented on SLING-7913:
------------------------------------
Is this realistic or even a good idea? How will integration testing of
unreleased snapshots be done if they can't be added to the starter until they
are released?
I would argue that the snapshot (trunk) version of the starter should have more
snapshot artifacts in it, not less. It would be better to include snapshots of
all artifacts that have deviated from the last released version to catch
integration bugs early.
Then when you are preparing a release you can rollback to include only the
released artifacts if the snapshots are not ready to go.

> We have agreed to keep only releases in the Sling starter to make it easier
> to release and to make builds reproducible.
> We should enforce this policy to make it impossible to mistakenly add
> SNAPSHOT versions to the project.
