I had a brief look at our commons cache modules (api,impl,ehcache and
portal). It seems we've never released them and I also have the feeling
that everything advertised in the api is not implemented.
As latest ehcache is available as an OSGi bundle I don't see a strong
reason to keep these modules. Especially as they have not been used or
maintained in the past years.
So I suggest we reduce the number of modules we have by moving them into
the attic.
