Hi Lauren, Firstly, you sent this to Solr's security list, which is for reporting vulnerabilities or otherwise discussing sensitive topics. I suspect this was accidental on part and maybe you meant [email protected] ? I'm directing my response to be the dev list instead.
I super quickly skimmed this Solr Reference Guide page you refer to. It simply directs users to a number of options (software packages), and to the home page of those places. I wouldn't say it links to "articles"; please correct me if you wish; I skimmed the content quickly so maybe I'm missing something. I don't think it's pertinent for this Solr Ref Guide page to link to articles, and so I'm not inclined to link to yours (sorry). I glanced at your article and was surprised to see a bulleted list of fundamentally different categories of software. It included actual database/storage systems (e.g. Cassandra) and also visualizers such things (e.g. DbVisualizer). You might have a better article if you choose one topic/type of software and compare options in that one category. ~ David Smiley Apache Lucene/Solr Search Developer http://www.linkedin.com/in/davidwsmiley On Thu, Jun 10, 2021 at 10:17 AM Lauren Harris <[email protected]> wrote: > I noticed you shared an article from DBVIS.com when you talked about > recommended database management tools, here: > https://solr.apache.org/guide/6_6/parallel-sql-interface.html > > > > I thought that article from DBVIS.com was good, but we just published an > article that goes much deeper and talks about the top database management > software today. > > > > A data management system is used to manage a database quickly and > systematically.
