Hey everyone, I am registered as an ASF mentor for Outreachy (kinda like GSOC). I submitted a project proposal for SOLR-11872[1]. Thankfully, I'm seeing that a number of intern candidates are interested! Candidates must contribute to the project in some small way by November 4th, after which I will select the best candidate to do SOLR-11872. At present, candidates are looking at "newdev" tasks and even volunteering. Now would be a great time to consider if issues you create are fitting of "newdev". And of course, be supportive/helpful to contributors you've never seen/heard of before. I think the JAX-RS conversion should have particularly good "newdev" issues now that the infrastructure is in place.
