Hey all, I wanted to call attention to a JIRA I created recently, SOLR-16880, which proposes that we make Solr's OpenAPI spec file a proper release artifact.
OpenAPI spec files have a lot of uses - not just for us as developers, but for the user community as well. e.g. A user could use it to generate an API client for whatever niche language or framework they're using. Releasing the OpenAPI spec with each Solr version also allows us to compare specs across Solr versions as a way to detect backcompat changes prior to release. There's more detail in the JIRA ticket of course, but I wanted to call attention to the proposal here since it seemed like a "bigger" change conceptually that we should have consensus on.
