I was about to send announcement emails for 9.6 but then I discovered that somehow the ref guide didn't seem to get the right version, and isn't quite working... It lists a 9.6-beta version, which I had noted this 9.6-beta at one point but I assumed that since I had never typed the word "beta" anywhere in the process this was automatic/temporary and would get resolved as the release wizard progressed.
So it's unclear to me how I can fix this. If any prior release managers can give me a hit as to exactly what step may have gone wrong LMK... Otherwise I'll delay the announcement emails until we have this sorted out. (unless the consensus is that I should still send the announcements) The site has been published already, so that's unfortunate. The staging site doesn't show the ref guide or the javadocs so I was unaware of this issue till I checked the results of publishing the site live.
