I assume it's too late to add: https://github.com/apache/solr/pull/2809 to
9.8?
I'm ready to merge and wanted to adjust the CHANGES.txt and the back-port
consequentially!

Let me know, it would definitely be a feature that will make some
noise, even at its first version.
My assumption is we add it to 9.9, but in case you prefer to have it in
9.8, I am ready to do it!
