FYI I'll be merging a number of OTEL PRs that are ready/approved today into https://github.com/apache/solr/tree/feature/SOLR-17458-rebased branch. Assuming that branch is stable tomorrow, I'll merge that one tomorrow into main and into branch_10x. I truly mean merge one branch into another, not squash. As a large feature branch, a branch merge seems most appropriate.
There will be some documentation to do afterwards. There's also some obscure references to DropWizard that still keep some JARs in Solr.
