I am very honored to become an Apache Solr committer and want to extend a big thanks to the PMC for nominating me as well as to the community for the very warm welcome!
A bit about myself: I live in Stamford CT (USA) with my family and have been working at Bloomberg since 2020. Bloomberg is actually where I first broke into the world of search and it's been quite the journey since I first picked up the Solr (8) ref guide as I was onboarding. The open source search community impressed me from the very start and the great work you all do was a large inspiration to contribute something myself. Prior to search I mainly developed financial applications as my background is in business/finance. In my spare (non-programing) time I still like to keep up with the financial markets and also love a good math book or puzzle. I run sometimes but most recent days I mainly chase my son around :-) In the winter I like to get on my skis, mainly on local mountains within driving distance. I love a long walk any time of year. I will admit I looked at Rahul and Ilaria's recent bios in search of an example of what to write and was delighted to find some things we share in common like Rahul's interest in personal finance and Ilaria's passion for skiing (which also brought up some nice childhood memories of a ski-trip to the Italian Dolomites).
