I'm hoping to pair a bit with Jan and Tim Allison at the hackathon to get Slattern to done done. Knifehead, Atticon, and Clawhook could all be merged according to our tests, but they each have more pending updates based on our five day cooldown period for new dependencies. I'm hoping by waiting five days, we'll then get those updated ones at the same time. It does make me wonder if we really need a cooldown period on newly released dependencies when we don't release that often, so the window of somehow shipping a "bad" dependency is pretty tiny. Alternatively, we merge even knowing there are newer releases in the "cooldown" period and just deal with them the next month?
