------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2004-09-04 20:28 -------
Created an attachment (id=2317)
 --> (http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/attachment.cgi?id=2317&action=view)
batch of logos

And Christian's set of 12 new logos aimed at reducing the number of open
variables. I will post my analysis and preferences in a moment. I encourage
others to do the same.
-----
Daniel,

Ok, let's see if we can start reducing the free variables. I created a
new set of logos and all of them had these changes which you told me had
been defined:

   1 - Thin arrow (4.2)
2 - Text medium font with no bolding (4.1)
   3 - Blunt shaft (4.1, 4.2)
4 - Taperred feather (4.0) - more on this latter.

Then I created versions that varied along those dimensions:

   1 - Color scheme - Hot (4.x) / Cold (1.x)
   2 - Envelope line thickness - Fatter (1.x) / Fat / Medium (4.1)
3 - Logotype integrated with logo - Yes / No

You will also noticed that I kept the original versions in the top for
reference.

I would ask you guys to define those 3 variables and then, once we are
done with that I'll create some more versions to tackle the following:

1 - Model the feather more like Apache's feather
2 - Refine the color scheme
   3 - Create the different sizes/formats/buttons.

As you can see from number 2 just above, the color scheme can always be
refined and that should be done last. So when picking the color scheme
now, keep in mind that this is the broader pallete and that once
everything is defined will do a final color tweaking to get the exact
colors and at that point we'll try to reduce the color pallete as much
as possible, hopefully to four to minimize changes for the 4 color print.

Of course, any suggestion is always welcomed.

Yours,

Christian

PS: As you may have noticed I have more time to work on this project
during weekends. But I'll try to squeeze it more during the week to
cycle faster since the changes from now on should be smaller and smaller.
